The dogs went to get groomed today and came back all eco-conscious.
Too cute.
Yesterday Moxie and I packed up and headed out. She put on her “fancy hat” and we were on our way.
We went to Enid to surprise Brad and Moxie’s Grandma. They were surprised. So it worked. Yay me! I took some photos of the Oklahoma landscape, all with Hipstamatic. Here ya go.
This past Tuesday Moxie and I went to visit the NASA Orion Spacecraft. It was at the Science Museum here in town. And it was awesome. On the way there Moxie had us pretend that we were driving our spacecraft (my car) into outer space, and that we were astronauts. She was so excited to go, she even brought Buzz Lightyear with her, but of course she did. We learned about how it was built and how it is going to work. You can read more about it here. After our outer space adventure we went to Pop’s for hamburgers and soda. I gotta say, it was a good day.
They had removed a panel from the spacecraft and were letting people sign it.
Inside… Needs a stylist’s touch, don’t you think?
And for a little bonus, here is a video of Moxie being an astronaut. She also did this impression for all the NASA people. They were VERY impressed.
On January 4th, Moxie’s Jen visited. I call her “Moxie’s Jen” because Moxie always says “Where’s my Jen?” Little does she know that Jen is MY Jen. She’ll learn. In time.
Anyway, Jen decided to teach this to Moxie.
And Moxie took the challenge.
Jen said she would teach Moxie by the end of the year to hold a spoon on her nose. I said “Pish posh! She’ll do it before then!” (Not actually what I said). And she tried, every time she came near a spoon, it landed on her nose, just to fall off. Until today.
Success! I’m so proud. And that’s my mom there with Moxie. She was surrounded by love on her big day.
Moxie and I took a break from the cold today and went to see Beauty and the Beast. Her description of the movie: “The beast turned into a beautiful man!”
